What is ClickTrackerASP?

ClickTrackerASP is a link tracking system that lets you know when your visitors click, what pages or sites they click from and how many clicks you’re getting. If can be used to track internal and external links both to and from your site so it can be used for all sorts of things.  Below is a list of just a few:

Improve Search Engine Rankings!

Since several search engines use the URL of the page to help in establishing your ranking, it is important to have names of the html pages that contain keywords. You can name all your pages something crazy like http://yoursite.com/get your best price here.html or you can use ClickTrackerASP. ClickTrackerASP will generate a link for you that you can point to any URL you wish. Lets say you have a page that is names dolls.html and it has a list of all the baby dolls you sell. When you use ClickTrackerASP, the link would appear something like this:

http://www.dollworld.com/clicktracker/click.asp?id=4&ky=baby dolls porcelain beany babies lifelike

Since the redirect is done on the server, the search engines do not know the difference and they use this URL to list your site.

What's Required

In order to run the ClickTrackerASP script you need to have your site hosted on a server that supports ASP and databases.  Most all Windows servers offer this and several Linux/Unix based servers will support ASP and databases.  It is best if you check with your host if you are unsure wether this scriptwill function on your server.

Is it hard to Install?

No!  Installation is easy and only requires you to edit one line of code in the configuration file so that the script knows where to find the database.  All that is left is for you to upload the files to your server and your done!
